About Anthony Martinus Kosters

Anthony Martinus Kosters was married to Dena (Likkel) and had 11 children. "Tony" farmed near Harrison, S.D. until he moved his family to Grangeville, Id. He continued to farm there until moving to Duvall, Wa. After a few years he and the family moved one more time to the Dutch community of Lynden, Wa., where he opened a successful cabinet shop. Tony was very active in the Christian Reformed Church, and held various postions of leadership in the Church. He also helped build the Christian Reformed Church in Grangeville in the 1930's. Much of what Tony taught his children he taught simply by how he lived. Honesty, integrity, humility, & the love of God & his Country were deeply important to him & then they became the basis for his children through his example. As his Grandson, I have a tremendous amount of respect for him because of the type of person he was, even though he passed serveral months before I was born. Rest In Peace.
