Anton Gostomski, age 82, of Manitowoc, a former Portage county resident, died Sunday afternoon at Holy Family hospital at Manitowoc. He had been in ill health for six months and entered the hospital 10 day ago.

The body was brought to Stevens Point and is at the Crosby Funeral Home. It will be taken Tuesday afternoon to the home of his son, Nick Gostomski, in the town of Alban, where the rosary will be said Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 8 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Fancher and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Gostomski was born in Poland on January 17, 1862 and came to this country with his parents the late Peter and Julia Gostomski in 1882. The family settled on a farm in the town of Amherst. The son married Miss Mary Lasinski of the town of Sharon at Sacred Heart Catholic church at Polonia. The couple lived at Bessemer Mich. for two years and then relocated on a farm in the town of Amherst where Mr. Gostomski resided until 1920. Mrs. Gostomski died in 1904. Mr. Gostomski moved to Polonia in 1920 residing there until two years ago when he moved to Manitowoc.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Fred Dulak of Alban, Mrs. Thomas Kropidlowski of Buena Vista, Mrs Siegmund Peplinski of the town of Franzen, Marathon county, Mrs Cecil Glinecki of Marathon county and Mrs Leo Schwabe and Mrs Harold Ludke of Milwaukee, the sons Nick of Alban, Joe of Milwaukee and Frank of Thorp, 62 grandchildren, 31 Great grandchildren. A daughter, Catherine died at the age of 12.

Mr. Gostomski was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis
