Anton Casper Olson was my grandfather. My father was Orville Olson.Anton was a very strong man. People say he could bend many things that other men could not. He could lift heavy items up over his head that men could not do.He bought his father's farm when they went to Genoa, Colorado. All of his children were born in Hartland,Minnesota. He used to give me Black Jack gum when I came out to the farm with my folks. As children we were not aloud in the house. The kids played out side. My father would come to the farm and help with the harvesting of the corn. They raised chickens and there were hundreds of them running around. I would help grandma Julia Olson bring in the eggs to take to town and sell. Also milk the cows to take the milk into town to sell.
