About Arne Millan Sydskjør

y-DNA snp; M343/L389/L585/M269/L150/L23/L51/L11/P311/P312/L21/DF13/FGC17059/R-Z253/(BY127) (BY127 is a terminal snp in two L21 haplos, but the test is inconclusive. Not to be confuced with the one in DF27)

This lineage may turn out to be Celtic. From Iberia to Ireland, Scotland and down along the Rhein to northern Germany, then to Sween/Finland and to Trondheim and Trøndelag in Norway.

Etnicity according to FamilyTreeDna: 45 % finish/siberian, 26% british, 19% Scandinavian, 7 % east-asian and 2 % native-american.

The low scoring of 19 % scandinavian, was a surprise, but not as much of a surprise as 2 % native-american. The german ancestry counts as british, due to the undocumented invasion of british-celts in Europe between year 0-1000

The high east-asian number is due to migrations.

The 2 % native american would suggest a native-american 5-6 steps back. This is not the case. It is connected to the far-east 7% and might stems back 12000 years ago, when there was a return of individuals from America to a small tribe in Sibiria. Maybe through Outakoski or Morotaja? The theory that decendants of Harbak might have carried it, is disproved by a later test.

However the same test Suggest that my father have 2 % finnish dna. He also has 58 % Scandinavian and 40 % british. It means I inherited 1/3 of his Scandinavian and 2/3 of his british dna and some of his finnish. His finnish matches all intersect in the same family. The very same family who is theorized to be my great grandfather, Carl Johans father. The same family is also responsible for some of the Swedish and British/American family-matches.

My father and mother are related through northern Sweden. However where this common ancestor intersect, is still not showing on my father side. A family-dna-match thought to be linked through my mother side with ancestornames as Länsman and Niemi, was sorted as a relative of my father. A surprising number of family-matches have dna in common with both my parents. Also suggesting that there is british DNA on my mothers side.

I might have ancestors during the last 400 years from the following geographical areas that is still unchartered in my tree:

UK; Ayrshire, Birmingham/Bath, Surrey, Hamptonshire, Suffolk, Southampton, Yorkshire, Essex, Midlands and Kent.

Ireland: Gallway, Cork, Northern Ireland,

Germany: High society families.

Netherlands: van/von families.

USA: East coast (intersect before scandinavian imigration)

Finland: Vasa, Rovaniemi, Enare, southwestern parts.

Sweden: Tornedalen, Skellefteå, Jamtland/Härjedalen, Örebro, Jönköping/Göteborg, Kalmar, Karlskrona, Stockholm,

Norway; North Hordaland, Sogn og Fjordane, Rogaland, Oslo, Oppland.

Others: Sicily, Italy, Northern Spain, Ukraine, Normandie, France, Denmark, Poland.

Any connection to any of these areas, is not reflected in my tree.
