Arthur Evan Jones

"Born Jan 12, 1866, Cincinnati, Ohio, he was educated in the City schools. He was engaged in salesmanship frojm his early life until he organized the Cincinnati Metal Company, of which he was president until his retirement.

Married Sept. 28, 1808 to Helen Augusta Fabel in Cincinnati. There were five children -- Irma, August, Winthrop, Ruth and Elizabeth.

He maintained an active interest throughout his life in civic and religious affairs. For two terms he represented his district in the Ohio Legislature at Columbus, elected on the Republican ticket, He was a long time Deacon in the walnut Hills Baptist Church, and sang in the choir of the Hyde Park Episcopal Church.

He was alert, debonair, always cordial and gracious -- a tru gentleman of the most cultured and refined class --an extraordinary father and companion whose fine physical and moral fibre finds expression in his children.
