Captain Arthur Richard Moseley b. Chesterfield, VA; Arthur married Sallie Perkins. REF: Moseley Bible 1809 owned by Sallie (Perkins) Moseley.

Arthur Moseley served as Orderly sergeant, VA troops, militia. His widow Sallie Perkins applied for pension. Those pension papers exist.

Arthur Moseley of Buckingham County, Virginia, entered the service early in February, 1781, under Captain Cannon, marched to Guilford, was in the battle at said place and served three months. In September, 1781, he went from Buckingham County, Virginia, to Yorktown as Orderly Sergeant in Captain John Moseley's company, remained there until after the capitulation of Cornwallis, then guarded the prisoners to Winchester and returned home not long before Christmas. He was attached to Colonel John Holcombe's regiment in General Lawson's Brigade of Virginia Militia. In December, 1788, he married Sally Perkins and he died August 31, 1829. She was allowed pension, Wid. File No. 7,481, upon an application executed January 26, 1846, and she was allowed bounty land upon an application executed March 20, 1855, at which date she had always resided in Buckingham County, Virginia, and was eighty-three years old. Their son Dr. William P. Moseley lived at "Wheatland", Buckingham County, Virginia.

Soldier's sister Judith Courtney was married in October, 1792, and was in her seventy-ninth year in 1846.
