BIRTH & BAPTISM
Arthur Richardson, aged 19 yrs, died 1899, and is buried at Leongatha. I believe this is the most probable death for Arthur Henry, after excluding the other possible deaths for Arthur Henry and Arthur Richardson. He has no memorial stone. I believe he likely died at or near Toora, while living and/or working with his eldest brother, Joseph, or at Korumburra where his parents then lived. His sister, Mary Ann Hammond was also at Toora, and it is vaguely possible his brother, Robert, was mining at Wonthaggi, and/or living near Mirboo North.
I am confirmed in this belief because also buried at Leongatha, is William Richardson aged 5 months, buried July 1892. William is the son of Joseph and Mary Ann (Stitson) who was born and died aged 5 months at Korumburra, in 1892, and is Arthur Henry's youngest brother. Joseph and Mary Ann had moved from Longwarry to Korumburra, following their elder children.

BURIAL Leongatha Cemetery
Leongatha, South Gippsland Shire, Victoria, Australia
PLOT Ang Sec Row D Grave 012
The death transcript says only Arthur Richardson, born 1880, died Leongatha in 1899. Reg No. 10128. The cemetery register says buried July 1899 in an unmarked grave. Unfortunately it doesn't include the parents' names as was common, so, without getting the death certificate, this attribution must remain provisional.
The Leongatha Cemetery is much closer to Toora than is Korumburra if the person did not die in the Korumburra Hospital, so it is the more likely choice for families living in fairly densely timbered isolated communities where travel is difficult.
