About Jennie Richardson
In April 1903 when Jane (Jennie) was staying with her brother, Joseph, at Toora, she was riding along the Foster-Tooradin Road. Something startled her horse which bolted with her, throwing Jane off on a bridge. She was picked up and taken home but died that evening. See documents
The Age15 April 1903 A YOUNG LADY RIDER KILLED FOSTER, Tuesday. A shocking accident happened in the vicinity of the town on Saturday afternoon. A young girl named Jane Richardson, aged 17, was riding along tHe Foster and Toora-road when something startled the horse, which went off at A furious rate, and threw its rider on a bridge. The unlucky girl was picked up and conveyed to her home, and medical assistance was procured, but she expired last evening.
