Arthur Smith of Blackmore

Arthur Smith, the “next brother,” married Anne Milward and died the 7th of March, 1622-3. His children were:

1. Captain Stephen Smith. Married Jane Bennett.
2. Thomas Smith, emigrated to Virginia.
3. Arthur Smith, third son, probably came to Virginia.
4. Dorothy, only daughter, married Thomas Jennings of Dunmow.

This Arthur Smith is sometimes shown as "Sir Arthur Smith." Alas, there appears to be no record proving this man was knighted.
