About Arturo Dancel
Arturo Dancel was a Filipino politician. He was born on January 6, 1863 from an elite gentry family in the town of Marikina with large tracts of lands in Mindoro. Dancel was appointed to the Malolos Congress or formally known as the “National Assembly” which is the legislative body of the Revolutionary Government of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, representing Mindoro from September 15, 1898 to March 23, 1901. The revolutionary congress was composed of the wealthy and educated members of society of the time.
