AUGUST J MESSMANN

August J. Messmann (sic), 64, of 2122 Lincoln Street, Two Rivers, died today at the Two Rivers municipal hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the St. Luke church, Two Rivers, with burial in Holy Cross cemetery. Mr. Messmann was born on a farm in the town of Two Rivers in 1883 and when a young man moved to Two Rivers where he was employed in the Mueller brewery. Later he was employed at the Aluminum Goods company for 22 years and before being taken ill was with the city park department. He married Miss Clara Benesh in 1908. Surviving him are his wife; three sons, Randolph of Two Rivers, Warren of Larrabee and Glenn at home; three daughters, Mrs. George VanLaarhoven of Two Rivers, Mrs. Loren Avery and Mrs. Ervin Musial both of Manitowoc; a brother, William of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Stephen Stanull of Two Rivers and Mrs. Lena Reiss of Mishicot. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren. The body may be viewed at the Klein and Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers, where the rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
