Obituary dated Thursday, November 23, 1933, Winona Republican Herald, Page 3A, Column 1 DEATH OF AUGUST MODRZEJEWSKI August Modrzejewski, 855 East Wabasha Street, resident here for nearly 50 years, died at 7 a.m. today at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Benjamn Jereczek, 856 East Wabasha Street. Mr. Modrzejewski, who was 84 years of age, had been ill a week. Survivors are three sons, John, Vincent and Valentine, all of Winona; one daughter, Mrs. Basil Wilson, St. Paul; one sister, Mrs. Victoria Cieminski, Little Falls, Minn.; 43 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Modrzejewski was a member of the Third Order of St. Frances of the St. Stanislaus parish. He was born in Poland, August 23, 1849, and had resided here for 49 years. Mrs. Modrzejewski died December 19, 1932. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. at the St. Stanislaus church, the Rev. Joseph F. Cieminski officiating. Preliminary services will be conducted at the home, 855 East Wabasha Street, at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
