I am a Burditt descendent. The earliest ancestor I can verify is William R. Burditt, Sr. b. 1755 Edgefield Dist. South Carolina. I have found that there is a family of Burditts in Va, Frederick, William, and Giles who are the right ages to be parents of Wm.R. The brothers Frederick and William are accounted for. Giles is not.
There is a Giles Burditt m. Averilla Deloach in SC. Giles died a very few years after the marriage. Can someone tell me the ages of Giles and Averilla at the time of their marriage? I'm hoping it's a second marriage and this Giles is Wm. R.'s dad.

”It has been my belief that Giles Burditt (Averilla wife) is the brother of William R. Burditt. Long ago when I was sharing info with other people I put Giles and Averilla as the parents of William R. Burditt just so I would not forget Giles. I think that other people took that info and decided that Giles and Averilla were the parents. I believe this is in error.” Chris Burditt
