About Barbara (Davis) Brimblecom

John Brimblecome of Modbury, Devon, England had by first wife Richard a daughter Richard and a son John. His first wife Richard died 1655. He came to Boston. On 14 Nov 1655 in Boston, Sufolk, Massachusetts Suffolk he executed Deed 2:298 John Brimblecomb married "Barbary" widow of George Davis, blacksmith of Boston and sells his land to John Baker, blacksmith of Boston. He mentions two children of George Davis. Boston records show the birth in Boston of Samuel Davis 1651 and John Davis 1652. In this deed John Brimblecomb states that he is imminently leaving on a voyage at sea. John Brumblecomb returned permanently to England where he died 1658. His widow "Barbary" married third to Thomas Chadwell in 1658 and died probably in Boston 1665 when Thomas Chadwell married his third wife. Soon after John Brimblecomb leaves Boston his son John bp 2 MAR 1623 Modbury, Devon, England in 1661 owned a home lot in Marblehead, MA. John's other daughter Richard bp 3 Aug 1621 Modbury, Devon, England married 24 Sep 1658 in Modbury, Devon, England Christopher Crispin and had dau Margaret who married Robert Leight.
