Hello distant cousin Jack, It is always good to hear from a long lost
relative. There is not too much to say about Nancy Kauffman. She was the
child of Martin Kauffman Sr, who died in 1749 and Barbara
Stauffer(Stover). I have her death date as (about 1772). Married Jacob
Strickler, son of Abraham, and Jacob is listed as dying in 1784. They
lived at Ft Egypt, almost directly across the Shenandoah River from
where I live. I descend from David Kauffman, Nancys brother, and live on land that has always been in our family since it was first settled. I
looked at your tree on the FTM site. I use FTM but am far from being
ready to submit any info for fear of inaccuracies. The information I am
sending is from the Kauffman-Coffman Lineages by Charles F Kauffman, published in 1940. Another good book on the Stricklers in this area is
Forerunners by Harry Strickler. As can be expected both have their share of mistakes. Steve
