Barnett Paine of King and Queen County, Virginia. He was born about 1665, and may have been the Barnett Payne who was christened in Barford, Warwick, England, on 29 April 1666, son of John and Mary Paine. Barnett Paine married, about 1690, Elizabeth(unknown). Barnett Paine on the 1704 Quit Rent Roll for King and Queen County; at that time he owned 130 acres. Over the years Barnett Paine was involted in many land transactions in King and Queens County and later, Spotylvania County,Virginia. By 1718 he had increased his land holdings to 300 acres.Before his death Barnett Paine served as administeror of the estate of his son, Barnett Paine (Payne)Jr., the papers were file on 3 December 1740. It is generally believed that Barnett Paine died about 1741 or 1742 but it is not known exactly when Elizabeth Paine died.
