Biographical Summary by Darryl Lundy's Peerage

Lady Beatrix Douglas was the daughter of James Douglas, 3rd Earl of Morton and Catherine Stewart.1 She married Robert Maxwell, 5th Lord Maxwell, son of Robert Maxwell, 4th Lord Maxwell and Janet Douglas, after 25 July 1530.2 She died after 31 October 1583.3

From after 25 July 1530, her married name became Maxwell.2

In 1562 she was certified a lunatic.3
