HENDRICK anglicized his surname to DUSENBURY after the Dutch surrendered control of the region to the English in 1667.He married in circa 1680, MARY THORN, born in 1658, in England, the daughter of an English settler. Their children were

VIII. BENJAMIN DOSENBORO, born circa 1710, and died in 1791, near Jamaica on Long Island.He was a Quaker and accused of becoming a Quaker by the Hempstead town council solely to avoid service in the local militia during the French and Indian War.BENJAMIN married on 30 August 1728, SARAH SEAMAN.
