The eldest surviving of these above known children, HENDRICK VAN DOESBURG (No. II above in Part two), was born in 1658, at Hempstead on Long Island, New York and died in 1743, at Hempstead on Long Island, New York.
HENDRICK anglicized his surname to DUSENBURY after the Dutch surrendered control of the region to the English in 1667.He married in circa 1680, MARY THORN, born in 1658, in England, the daughter of an English settler.

- I. WILLIAM DUSENBERRY, baptized on 15 May 1712, at the Dutch Reform Church in Jamaica on Long Island and died in 1769.He settled in Harrison’s Purchase in Rye, New York.His will is date 5 January 1769.He married LENA WOOLSEY.

SAMUEL DUSENBORY, born in 1689, at Hempstead on Long Island, New York and died in 1744, at Hempstead.In some records his surname is spelt as DUSENBORY and DUSENBURY.SAMUEL was a farmer.He married at some unknown date HANNAH (surname unknown), born in 1693, and died at some unknown date.SAMUEL at age 56 made his will on 2 April 1744.Listed in the 1698 Hempstead census.
- III. HANNAH DOSENBORO, born circa 1698, at Hempstead, New York.She married in Jamaica’s Grace Church on 1 November 1714, BENJAMIN FOWLER, born circa 1696.
- IV. MARY DUSENBORO, baptized on 15 May 1712, at the Dutch Reform Church in Jamaica, Long Island.She married ARTHUR ALBERTIS, a farmer from Hempstead.
- V. WILLIAM DOSENBORO, born circa 1703, Hempstead, New York and died in 1769, at Harrison’s Purchase in Rye, New York.He married SARAH WILMOT, born circa 1705.WILLIAM was a farmer and eventually settled in Rye and then North Castle near Bedford in Westchester County, New York where he is elected Captain of the local militia company.
- VI. SARAH DOSENBORO, born circa 1705, Hempstead, New York.She married JEREMIAH FLOWER, born circa 1700.
- VII. PHOEBE DOSENBORO, born circa 1707, Hempstead, New York.She married TIMOTHY RHODES, born circa 1703.
- VIII. BENJAMIN DOSENBORO, born circa 1710, and died in 1791, near Jamaica on Long Island.He was a Quaker and accused of becoming a Quaker by the Hempstead town council solely to avoid service in the local militia during the French and Indian War.BENJAMIN married on 30 August 1728, SARAH SEAMAN.
