Benjamin Hubbard

"Mr. Benjamin, artist, Charlestown, admitted to the church with wife Alice, June 30, 1633, fr. Sept. 3, 1634. Wrote Roger Williams in 1637 about finding a place there. Accompanies the survey party who laid out the town of Woburn. (Town records). He, or one of the name, wrote from London Dec. 12, 1644, to Gov. Winthrop, good voyage and favorable acceptance by many gentlemen through Winthrop's influence. Had not yet made trial before artists of his invention concerning longitude." (Mass. History Collection 3-1).

Child Benjamn baptized Jan. 30, 1634, ch. Elizabeth born Feb. 4, 1636.Thomas b. March 31, 1639. Hannah b. Oct. 16, 1641.
