Thomas TAYLOR was the husband of Benjamin's sister SARAH PRICE. If I have not been deceived by secondary information, Thomas TAYLOR then sold this land to Dr. George BUCHANAN. It became known as Timonium Mansions and is located today in a place called Timonium, Maryland. Curt Sytsma notes: The Burns reference to the same liber and folio as reflecting a Baltimore County proceeding probably indicates that the "CA" in Skinner's abstract should be "BA." 1756 LAND DEED "3 Jun 1756, Elizabeth Price, of Baltimore Co., Maryland to her grandchildren, Mary, Sarah, and John Trasher, for love and affection, chattel goods and mulatto boy named Ned, age 6 years.Signed Elizabeth Price.Wit: Mary Helm and Absalom Butler."SOURCE:John Davis, Baltimore County, Maryland Deed Records, Volume Two: 1727-1757 (Heritage Books: Bowie, Maryland 1996) at page 380.The source cited is Baltimore County Deed Records, Liber T.R., No. E(1753-1757).No folio number is provided. Recital:- Whereas Benjamin Tasker, his Lordships agent and Receiver General of the Province of Maryland, did on the first day of May 1746, by indenture of lease made for and on behalf of his Lordship, between the said Benjamin Tasker and BENJAMIN PRICE, of the other part, the said Benjamin Tacker did demise and to farm let unto him, the said BENJAMIN PRICE, all that tract or parcel of land called Benjamins Delight, containing 65 acres, as by said lease may appear to be hd and holden unto the said BENJAMIN PRICE, his executors, administrators and assigns, for the full term of 99 years fully to be completed. Now this deed witnesseth, that, whereas the aforesaid BENJAMIN PRICE did by his last will and testament, dispose of the aforesaid tract of land unto the above named MORDECAI PRICE and SAMUEL PRICE, they, the said MORDECAI and SAMUEL PRICE, for and in consideration of fifteen lbs. do bargain, sell, transfer and assign over to MORDECAI FORD his executors, administrators and assigns all the aforesaid tract of land called Benjamins Delight, to have and to hold for and during all the residue of the term of 99 years, which is yet to come from the aforesaid first day of May, 1746. Signed Mordecai Price and Samuel Price.Wit: William Smith and James Everett."Executed October 9th-1762. SOURCE:John Davis, Baltimore County, Maryland Deed Records, Volume Three: 1755-1767 (Heritage Books: Bowie, Maryland) at page 226.The source cited is Baltimore County Deed Records, Liber B, No. L (1763).Liber B. No. 1 folio 114. "9 Oct. 1762, MORDECAI PRICE and SAMUEL PRICE, (sons and heirs of BENJAMIN PRICE), planters, of Baltimore Co., Maryland assignment of lease to Mordecai Ford, of same, 15 pounds, 65 acres. Signed Mordecai Price and Samuel Price. Wit: William Smith and James Everett." --John Davis, Baltimore County, Maryland Deed Records, Volume Three: 1755-1767 (Heritage Books), 226, citing Baltimore County Deed Records, Liber B, No. L (1763), folio number not provided. This 1762 lease assignment is the first reference to a Benjamin Price who died in Baltimore County prior to the Revolutionary War. Based on work that Selena DuLac and I have done, I am confident that it is a reference to Benjamin Price I, son of Mordecai and Mary (Parsons) Price. The identification of the leased land as "Benjamin's Delight" is also very interesting -- when Millicent Price secured "Widow's Lot" [in 1770] her property was adjacent to Benjamin's Delight. --Curt Sytsma, e-mail, Jan. 31, 1999. The known children of Benjamin are as follows: Benjamin Price II, born abt. 1731; married Millicent Vaughn Samuel Price, born about 1737 Mordecai Price Other possible children of Benjamin, that have not for sure been verified John Price born about 1731 in Baltimore, Maryland William Price born about 1733 in Baltimore, Maryland Abraham Price born about 1735 in Baltimore, Maryland SOURCE: Baltimore County Families, 1659-1759 Author: Robert W.
