Funeral services for Ben (Bennie Lee) Northcott. 80, Olney City Judge, who died Thursday, Jan. 20 in an Olney Hospital were held Saturday. Jan. 22 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Basham officiating.
Born April 18. 1896 in Jonah, Tx., he married Beulah Wilson, Dec. 24. 1921. He moved to Megargel in 1925 and to Olney in 1941. He was a veteran of World War 1, Commander of American Legion Post, member of the Lions Gub, retired Magnolia Petroleum employee and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; a son, James Lee Northcott of Snyder; a daughter, Mrs. Benny Paschall of Monroe, La.; a brother, Vernon Northcott of Lefors. Tx.; four sisters. Winnie Roby of Stinnett, Lena Partain of Houston, Maude Porter of Jacksboro, and Dollie Box of Hobbs. N. M.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
