About Bernard Feustman Gimbel
Bernard Gimbel was Chairman of the Board of Gimbel Brothers, Inc., which operated a famous chain of department stores. The "Macy's -vs- Gimbel's" feuds of the 1940's were legendary amusements in New York City. The last Gimbel's store closed in 1987.
