Bernhard Eck

• Tidigare litteratur uppger oriktigt E. som stamfader för svenska adliga ätten Ekesparre. Utom sina döttrar hade E. sonen Bernhard E. (d. omkr. 1629), K. polsk sekreterare, vars son Sigismund E. (levde ännu 1667) synes ha varit släktens siste man. Translation: Earlier literature indicates [Riga's Mayor] E. incorrectly as the acestor of the Swedish noble family Ekesparre. Apart from his daughters, E. had a son Bernhard E. (died ca. 1629), Royal Polish secretary, whose son Sigismund E. (alive in 1667) appears to be the last man of the family.
