Birth: Sep. 21, 1888 Paulding County Georgia, USA Death: Feb. 1, 1909 Paulding County Georgia, USA
Died of tuberculosis.
On the first day of February, 1909, after a lingering illness, death came and took from our midst the life of a friend and loved one, Mrs. Bertha McClung. She was a daughter of Mr. J. M. Hart, and was at the home of her father at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. J. B. McClung, and lived the greater part of her married life in Atlanta. She suffered several months with that awful disease, tuberculosis. Knowing that she could not get well, she talked frequently of death and said she had 'nothing to fear,' that 'all was well' with her. On Feb 2, amid sorrowing relatives and friends, she was tenderly laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Earth to earth may be said of the body, but her sweet spirit hath flown to that home where there is no sickness nor sorrow. She leaves a husband and one child, besides a host of relativers and friends to mourn her departure.
