Bettie, also known as Betsy and Basia, immigrated to the United States in 1895 with her son Moshe Aaron (Morris) Schnee.
After arriving in the US she had her five other children.
Bettie was also involved in the Zolochower KUV. Her name appears on the right gate post of the Zolochower KUV section at Mount Zion Cemetery in Queens.
Her death certificate (filled out by Morris), likely records on JRI Poland, and the fact that she definitely had relatives with the last name "Zwibel" makes Zwibel her most likely maiden name, but Jeanne Schnee's birth certificate and Sadie Schnee's wedding certificate give her maiden name as "Seaman."
Her epitaph says in Hebrew:
HERE LIES OUR BELOVED MOTHER, THE CROWN OF OUR HEADS, AN IMPORTANT AND MODEST WOMAN, BASHE, DAUGHTER OF AARON, DIED 7 CHESHVAN 5705.
