About Sadie Bennett
Sadie, Hebrew name Sara, was the first child born to Mayer and Betty (Basia) Schnee in the United States.
She married her neighbor on East 3rd Street Harry Bennett in 1918 and had her first child, Toby, the next year, and her son, Armand, in 1922. Her marriage to Harry would last sixty years, until Harry's death in 1978.
She lived most of her life in Brooklyn, in East New York and later Canarsie. She moved to Florida after she was widowed.
