Obituary - Augusta Chronicle - 12/30/1982 - Mrs. Betty Sammons

Mrs. Betty Lou Hilson Sammons, 86, 1916 Fenwick St., died Tuesday in a

Richmond County hospital.

The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair

Street, with the Rev. Fred Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Westover

Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sammons was anative of Glascock county and had lived in Augusta since

1936. She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Gibson,

Ga.

Survivors include two sons, Ben C. Sammons, Augusta, and Jack Sammons,

Titusville, Flas.; anda daughter, Mildred Bradshaw, Augusta.

Pallbearers will be Hugh McCall, John Gay, AL Jones, Otis Usry, Lester Hoover

and Earl Hursam.

Friends may call at the funeral home or at 1980 Battle Row.
