Betty Jo Eubank was born February 20, 1924 in Paris, Lamar County, Texas, daughter of Augustus "Gus" Nathaniel Eubank and Ada Jefferson (Johnson) Eubank. She is the sister of Elmer James (1904); Shelby Nathaniel (1905); Jack Richard (1909); Ida Mildred (1911) and Bonnie Jean (1917) Eubank.
On Thursday, May 9, 1946, Betty Jo Eubank married Calvin Eugene Harrell at 10 a.m. in the home of her brother, Jack R. Eubank, 2303 E Cherry St., Paris, TX. The Rev. L. L. Armstrong, Immanuel Baptist Church pastor in Paris, presided over the ceremony.
On Wednesday, December 11, 1946, her husband, Calvin, was notified by the State Dept. of Public Safety of his appointment as a highway patrol cadet. In January 1947, he entered 2 months of instruction in Austin, TX. This was during the time his wife was expecting a child.
In June 1948, Betty and Calvin had a son, Robert Glynn Harrell, in Potter County, TX. Later in time, they did not remain married. She married again to John Lonzo Eaves.
On January 1, 1993, Bettie Jo (Eubank) Harrell Eaves, age 68, died with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Block 11, Houston, Harris County, Texas.
