Mrs. Betty Andrews Tilley, 89, died Saturday morning at the Treyburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following several years of declining health.
Mrs. Tilley was born in Bahama, daughter of the late John M. and Salina Roycroft Andrews. Mrs. Tilley was retired from Liggett and Myers Tobacco Co. and was a member of Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Carl Wade Tilley Sr. and Larry Tilley and wife, Barbara, all of Durham; three grandchildren, Robin Tilley, Tara Johnson and husband, Willie, of Durham, and Carla Tonnemacher and husband, Todd, of Cary; one grandson, Carl Wade Tilley Jr. and wife, Kim, of Durham; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Johnson, Emma Tonnemacher and Rachel Tilley, all of Durham; a sister, Mandy A. Jeffries of Durham and a brother, Raymond Andrews, also of Durham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Wilson Tilley.
