aka Bothvid Larsson the elder of Agnhammer and Aspeberg; aka Bothvid Skrivare, son of Lars (Lasse) Bothvidsson the elder of Agnhammar, Grums parish, Värmland. He Died on his estate in Bro, buried January 2nd, 1551 in what was formerly known as Gråbrödraklostret, the monastery whose church is now called Riddarholmskyrkan. He became Sheriff over Värmland in 1530, Judge in 1538, and he established Värmlands first land register "Jordeboken 1540 för Värmland". He became Bailiff at Stockholms Royal Palace in 1541. In 1542 during the peasant uprising in Småland known as the Dacke fued, he was a military commander who defended King Gustav Vasa's cause. He was Sheriff over Stockholm's Royal Palace and city from 1543 until his death. In 1541 he received Älvdals County in fief, Fryksdalen district in 1543, and Nordmark District May 16, 1546. In 1544 he was a member of the nobility in Vesterås. He married Karin Kart, who lived as his widow at Agnhammar, Grums, Värmland in 1565, she was the daughter of Sven Kart of Nygard and Åmor and his wife Kjerstin Thorsteinsdottor in Wånga. Bothvid Larsson's widow inherited the estate of her brother Peder Kart who was ennobled by King Gustav Vasa on May 7 1556 and given a coat of arms with an anchor upon the shield. The descendants of Bothvid Larsson and Karin Kart began using the family crest and adopted the surname Anckar, Ancher, and Anker which survives today in Sweden, Norway, and beyond.
