• Married Beatrice Rosa Andalucia Harvey, daughter of Captain John Edmund Audley Harvey and Rosa Frances Stewart, on 4 July 1905.
• Died on 10 December 1960 at age 80.1
• Educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, and at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire,
• Fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902, and in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.
• Decorated with the award of the Croix de Guerre.1
• Gained the rank of Brigadier-General between 1918 and 1919.
• Decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.
• Held the office of

• Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.
  
• Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.
  * Gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.and was was Colonel of the 128th Infantry Brigade between 1928 and 1932.
