8. David D. FRAME Sr.1, M. Born in 1745 in Augusta County, Virginia.1 David D. died in Braxton County, Virginia [Now West Virginia] in 1810, he was 65.1
In a short time after his 1st marriage to Mary Donohue,a scandal arose and David employed Thomas Jefferson to represent him in a suit against James Burnside, who had accused Frame of adultery with a widow, Elizabeth (Hanna) Botkin. On March 22, 1769 Mary (Donohue) Frame relinquished her dower to David, effectively divorcing him. He immediately married Elizabeth (Hanna) Botkin.Elizabeth, a daughter of James Jr. and Anne (Johnson) Hanna, was born in Ireland May 14, 1747 and died in KY September 22, 1796.She came to PA with her parents in the Spring of 1756.
In 1772, David and Elizabeth bought a farm on the Cowpasture River in present day Bath county, VA.They lived on this farm though the American Revolution.David served the Colonies as a Private in Captain McCreery's Augusta County Troops of the VA line.
In 1797, the family moved to Greenbrier County, VA and later to Little Levels.In 1801, they moved to Big Birch River, near the mouth of Powell's Creek, in present day Nicholas County WV. David died in Braxton County in 1810 and Elizabeth died in Kanawha County VA (WV) in 1830.1
aft 22 Mar 1769 when David D. was 24, he first married Elizabeth HANNA BOTKIN FRAME1, F, daughter of James HANNA Jr., M & Anne JOHNSON HANNA, F.1 Born on 14 May 1747 in Ireland.1 Emigrated in Spring of 1756 from to Pennsylvania from Ireland.1 Elizabeth died in Kanawha County, West Virginia [Was Virginia] in 1830, she was 82.1
