Troyer. --- Calvin J., son of Jerry M. and Susan (Schlabaugh) Troyer, was born Feb. 13, 1874, in Holmes Co., Ohio; passed away at his home near Lagrange, Ind., Dec. 30, 1952; aged 78 y. 10 m. 17 d. On March 3, 1895, he was united in marriage to Matilda Lambright, who survives along with the following children: Lizzie-Mrs. Homer Miller, Jerry C., Ellen-Mrs. Orval J. Miller, Ruth-Mrs. Lee Miller, of Shipshewana, Ind.; Calvin C., Willis, Raymond, of Lagrange, Ind.; Berdena-Mrs. Freeman Hartman, Howe, Ind.; Edna-Mrs. Emmett Klopfenstein, Los Angeles Calif.; Lena---Mrs. Stanley Plank, Kalona, Iowa; Clarence, Engadine, Mich. Also surviving are one foster daugher (Edna-Mrs. George Dintamin), 59 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a large number of other relatives and friends. Two sons (Amos and Jay) preceded him in death. He accepted Christ in his youth and became a member of the Mennonite Church. He was active in the work of the church and a regular attendant as long as health permitted. Funeral services were held at the Shore Mennonite Church, Shipshewana, Ind., in charge of Josiah J. Miller, Percy J. Miller, and Oscar S. Hostetler.
