'This Captain John Baker Sr did not marry Nancy Ann Norfleet. The husband of Nancy Norfleet lived long enough to get a pension in 1832.

'The Captain John Baker Sr in this tree died in 1806 leaving his wife Ursula White Baker a widow in Jefferson County, Tennessee Ursula White was the daughter of Thomas( Lilly) White who left Burke County, NC and died in Claiborne Co. Mississippi. He left a will noting Ursula Baker his daughter. The will was transcribed incorrectly and she is listed as "Hurtley" Baker. Her common name was Urstly. =

Nancy Ann Norfleet was born in Chowan County NC, married her John Baner in Gates Co. NC and died in Montgomery Co Tn in 1831. Her daughter Lucinda married William Blount, a Governor of Tennessee. There should be good records on them.
