At his death he held 4000 acres on Lyttle Byrd Creek in what is now Goochland Co., VA, that had previously been granted to his father Peter, and was subsequently claimed by brother John.

Note: Also removed Charles Massie as son of Thomas and Mary. The concern is stated below where Charles is named as child of the marriage.
xii. CHARLES MASSIE. born 1727 Note: No evidence has been found of Charles Massie's birth to Thomas and Mary Walker Massie to date. Charles Massie descendant, Powell Massie stated in an email that Charles Massie's father was a Thomas Massie, however they have not been able to connect him to Peter Massie's line. Peter Massie descendant, David Douglas and Charles Massie descendant, Powell Massie do share a small auDNA segment indicating a possible connection.
