Virginia Will Records page 152 found on Ancestry regarding Will of Walter Coles of Hanover County Virginia contains the following information " Walter Coles owned numerous slaves and was fairly wealthy for his time. He married 27 December 1792, Mary Randolph Price, the daughter of Captain Thomas Price of Cool Water, Hanover County, Virginia and Barbara Winston, his wife. She (Mary Randolph Price) was born at Cool Water, 6 October 1776, and died, (Walter Coles) widow 16 January 1847. They had the following issue:
Maria Coles, who married William Shelton of Louisa Count; William Coles who moved to Brazil where he married and died; Elizabeth Coles,who married Francis Scott." "Thomas Price, Junr., who qualified as Executor of Walter Coles will, was Cole's brother-in-law. Thomas Price, Junr., born at Cool Water, Hanover County, Virginia 12 October 1781, died 31 October 1838...He married Elizabeth Thilman Doswell... The Thomas Price who witnessed Walter Cole's Will and the Codicil was Walter Coles' father-in-law. He was the son of John Price of Cool Water, Hanover County, and Mary Randolph, the daughter of William Randolph II, of Turkey Island, Henrico County, and Elizabeth Beverley, His wife. Thomas Price was born at Cool Water, 29 August 1754, and died at Blenheim, Hanover County, Virginia 21 December 1836. He was one of the gallant company that marched from Newcastle with Patrick Henry against Govenor Dunmore...Thomas Price ...married Barbara Winston 27 January 1774..."
Thomas Price in his Revolutionary War Pension application confirms his birth stating it came from his father's bible, states he lived in the forks of the Hanover from his birth to the present time, states he volunteered under Patrick Henry, Date of death in file 21 December 1836. Surviving children in 1850 Joseph F Price, Elizabeth Dabney, Patrick H Price and Jane Winston wife of Philip B Winston.
