A number of Ancestry.com family trees claim John Price (Builder for William Randolph) died 1784 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. This is false information that can be proven by checking original sources for their children. Also the birth date of 1725 given in ancestry.com family trees could not be accurate. The attached photo of Coolwater buit in 1740 would indicate that John Price of Hanover County was very likely born before 1720.

Thomas Randolph Price, a proven son of John and Mary Randolph Price, was born 29 August 1754 in Hanover County and died 21 December 1836. Will of John Price Sr. Book B page 95 and Shenandoah County Deeds Book K pages 425-427. His wife was named Ruth, maiden name unproven. This Thomas Price died in Indiana before September 1835.

The Randolphs of Virginia a Compilation of the Descendants of William Randolph of Turkey Island and His Wife Mary Isham of Bermuda Hundred.
