Captain Edward Martyn

Edward Martyn was born 12 July 1665, a son of Michael Martyn and Susannah (Holyoke) Martyn.[1] He was recorded in his father's home in Boston on 21 March 1682, age about 17 years.[2]

He was a merchant in Boston.

He was married to Sarah White, a daughter of John White of Boston.[2]

He died in Boston on 5 February 1717 (new-style date 5 February 1718). He made his will on 1 May 1717; it was proved by his widow Sarah on 26 May 1718.[2][3] Children named in the will were Mary, Sarah, Edward, Richard, John, Susanna, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, and Abigail. His estate was valued at £10,439:5.[2]
