FRANCIS PAGE RECORDS
He and his brother received good educations for their day, presumably in England. Francis pursued the study of law. He served as deputy escheator for lands on the north shore of the York, a position his brother Matthew was to hold. He was Clerk of the House of Burgesses.

"«i»Old New Kent County-Some Accounts of the Planter, Plantations and Places«/i» «i»in New Kent County"«/i», 2 volumes. Note: Vol 1, p. 62 has information on Francis Page & John Page, who has been called "Lawyer John", & who was nephew of Col. John Page & the cousin of the above Francis. It mentions that, in his will (probated in York Co., VA in 1692). Francis Page devised the "Plantation called Muskimimo containing 790 acres lying & being near the Chickahominy, 300 acres in James City County & 490 acres in New Kent County" per the "desire of his father". Col. John Page had stipulated this in his will (probated in York Co., VA in 1691). ("Lawyer John Page" m. the widow of Francis' brother Mathew Page. Check notes: Mary Mann)
