Marriage and Children
John married Hannah, daughter of Nehemiah Howard of Salem, Dec. 24, 1679, and settled on the westerly side of Squam River. [1]

He was a selectman several years.

Death
In 1710, he engaged in the expedition against [Annapolis] Port Royal, Nova Scotia where he was drowned by the shipwreck of the transport under Capt. Foye, of which he was pilot. [1]
