About Captain Perez Graves, Sr.
ELNATHAN GRAVES (44,) son of John 3, Isaac 2, Thomas 1, born Aug. 20, 1699, in Hatfield; md. (1) Mch. 2, 1727, Martha, dau. of Deacon Nathaniel Dickinson, of Hatfield, She was born Dec. 25, 1701, died Jan'y 9th, 1756; he md. (2) Dorothy Belding, dau. of Ebenezer Morton, of Hatfield, widow of John Belding. She died May 9, 1800, aged 80. He resided in Hatfield until his death, Feb. 17, 1785, aged 85 years.
At an early period of the settlement of Williamsburg, Mass., Elnathan Graves bought a large tract of land there, and subsequently three of his grandsons, viz : Samuel, Perez, Jr., and Elnathan, sons of Capt. Perez Graves, settled on it. Elnathan Graves was the father of Deacon Elnathan Graves, of Williamsburg, who was County Commissioner of Hampshire County, Mass., for many years.

CAPT. PEREZ GRAVES (115), son of Elnathan 4, John 3, Isaac 2, Thomas 1, born April 26, 1730, in Hatfield; md. (1) May 16, 1754, Martha, dau. of Samuel Gillett, of Hatfield. She died Oct. 28, 1793 ; he md. (2) Feb. 19, 1795, Zeruiah, widow of Lieut. Elihu White, and dau. of Ebenezer Cole, of Hatfield. She was born Nov. 30, 1741, and died Dec. 13, 1820. He died Dec. 17, 1809, aged 80 years; residence Hatfield. He was a Capt. in the Rev. War and very prominent. View of home at Hatfield, built prior to Rev., among illustrations.
