About Captain Samuel Pritzker, 1st Caucasian Cossack Regiment
Samuel Mordkovich Pritzker Khazanov was born January 26, 1888 in Brailiv, Podolia Governorate, Russian Empire to a Jewish farmer, Mordko Pritzker and a woman of Romanian Jewish origin named Rivkah Khazanov (Khazov or Alhassani). He later enlisted in the 1st Caucasian Cossack Regiment and graduated from Alexander Military College. He fought for the White Army during the Russian Civil War and retreated at Vinnytsia with his family, crossing the Dneister River into the Kingdom of Romania.
Самуил Мордкович Прицкер Хазанов родился 26 января 1888 года в Браилове Подольской губернии Российской империи в семье еврейского земледельца Мордко Притцкера и женщины румынского еврейского происхождения по имени Ривка Хазанова (Хазова или Альхассани). Позже он поступил на службу в 1-й Кавказский казачий полк и окончил Александровское военное училище. Он сражался на стороне Белой армии во время Гражданской войны в России и вместе со своей семьей отступил в Виннице, переправившись через реку Днестр в Королевство Румыния.
