Col. Thomas Newburgh married 1stly Mary Taylor, daughter of Brockhill Taylor of Ballyhaise (she was also known as Mary Boges and d. c1645), and 2ndly Letitia Vaughan, sister of George Vaughan. Letitia (Vaughan) Newburgh married 2ndly Robert Saunders, son of Col. William Berry Saunders of Dublin.

Col. Thomas Newburgh's will (proved 1697) states that he had five sons living at the time of the making of the will, and at least three married daughters were alive at that time.

Thomas Newburgh apparently executed his last will at Castlefinn, co. Donegal, in 1693.

Letitia Vaughan was related to Sir John Vaughan, father of Barbara Vaughan (d. 1655) who married William Latham of New Place, co. Londonderry.

Louisa Mure states that Letitia Vaughan married Brockhill Newburgh, at pp. 158-9 of her historical sketch of the Newburghs of Ballyhaise, RECOLLECTIONS OF BY-GONE DAYS.
