About Captain William Muirhead of Lauchope
CAPTAIN WILLIAM MUIRHEAD OF LAUCHOPE
William Muirhead: "a young gentleman, who went into the army young, was a proper handsome person, rose soon to a command, but died of his wounds he received at Wynendale." A System of Heraldry II: 264 It is supposed that Wynedale is Wijendale in which case William Muirhead of Lauchope may have died on or soon after 28 September 1708.
