Carl Munter, 79, of Fosston, MN died Friday March 14, 1997 in United Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Carl Palmer Munter was born April 30, 1917 to Gustaf and Marie (Bjerke) Munter in Hill River Township, Polk Co., MN. He served in the US Army during World War II. He married Mildred Solberg January 1, 1987. He married Edna Melchert Meyer September 23, 1990 in Bagley, MN. They lived in Fosston, MN.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; a daughter a son; 2 stepsons, 2 stepdaughters, 5 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law , Ruth Roed of Fosston, MN.

He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mildred and a brother, Melvin Munter.
