Caroline Davis

Caroline was born Sept 27, 1855 at 38 Trongate Street, Glasgow. Her birth certificate lists father Henry Davis, General Dealer, age 36, born London. Mother Margaret Ross, her 4th child (1 girl living, 1 boy 1 girl deceased) age 33, born Inverness. Signed Henry Davis, father.

She married Charles Rae on April 3, 1874, age 18, Cotton Factory Worker. Usual address 21 St Margaret's Place. Her Brother David Davis and his wife Elizabeth were the witnesses.

Charles and Caroline had 4 children, Mary(about 1874), Elizabeth(1875), Margaret (about 1878)and Henry(1879).

Caroline had a daughter, Caroline "Auntie Carrie" on September 15th 1895, but Charles was not listed as the father. Caroline was already living with William Cuzen at the time.

Charles died January 29th 1900, and Caroline married William Cuzen on February 21st 1900. Charles was living in a model at the time of his death, and Caroline and William were already living together.

In the 1891 census Caroline 38, was living at 48 Blackfaulds Road with William Cuzen 42, moulder, Henry 11, and Maggie 13.

In the 1901 census Caroline, William, Henry 22, Maggie 24, and granddaughter Alice R Cuzen were living at 279 Bernard St. Also Carrie, age 5.

Caroline died March 20, 1902, at 34 Crownpoint Road, age 46 of consumption. William Cuzen, widower signed.
