Carolyn Ann Worthington, age 76, of Bellevue, died January 3, 2006 at her home.

She was born September 11, 1930, the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Gustke) Halder in Battle Creek.

Carolyn married Edward H. Worthington Sr. on December 17, 1947 in Angola, Indiana. Edward preceded Carolyn in death on June 2, 2006.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Patricia A.) Jeffery of Bellevue; sons, Edward H. (Jennie) Worthington, Jr. of Battle Creek, Terry A. Worthington of Bellevue; grandchildren, Robert Jeffery, John (Amy) Jeffery, Chad, Keith, Edward III and Greg Worthington, Angie and Nicki Worthington, Melanie Couchand Tiffany and several great grandchildren; sister, Elinor Nelson, Patricia (Jack) Nichols; brothers, David Halder and Joseph (Beverly) Halder. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Evelyn Halder and Betty Lou Nosker and brother Bill Halder.

Carolyn enjoyed going to garage sales, playing bingo and watching hummingbirds, but most of all she always enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.

Friends may visit from 5 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Shaw Funeral Home in Battle Creek.

Funeral services will take place 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2007 at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, Pastor Gary Seifert, St. Paul Lutheran Church and Pastor Chad Worthington, officiating.

Memorials may go to American Heart Association.

The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home.
