Note by author: It seems more than probable that Charon Brenhan at the age of 12, would have been in a party of older Brannons who arrived in North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., VA, (which lies on the northern side of the Rappahannock River) between the years 1697 - 1699. He might have come over with his parents, or uncles, or other members of his family, however there has, to date, been found no record of these forebears.
He was a tobacco planter and surveyor. he set sail as a indenture servant to George Davenport. one of 90 passengers who were transported to Virginia. 4500 acres of land was granted as remuneration for the transportation. I am assuming they gave him the land to work, so he could repay George Davenport.
Regardless, he was successful.
There are various deeds showing he lent out his land in tracts to others to produce tobacco. These deeds place his land between farnham creek and morattico creek.
He married Morgrave " Margaret Bryan 1718 in Richmond County, Virginia. He died September 04, 1764 in Amelia County, Virginia Colonies.

There seemed to be a legal battle brewing. Caron Brannon was chosen as guardian of Thomas Bryant in 1724 after a lawsuit Thomas Bryant vs John & Mary Hightower. Judgement was for damages due to trespass by defts. The judgement was granted but later was dismissed in 1726.
there are various lawsuits where he was granted judgement s against people he lent land to.

Birth: 1683, England Death: 1750
As the story has been my limited research that has lead me to believe this is my Paternal 6th Great Grandfather. It is written in other's research, that Caron came to the Americas as an indentured Servant.
for the years 1697-1699. This is one section of that page: "CHARON BRENHAN, Servant to George Davenport, being presented to this Court to have inspection into his age, is adjudged Twelve years old and ordered to serve his said Master or assigns according to Act. " Additional information is from "The Registers of North Farnham Parish, 1663-1814, and Lunenberg Parish 1783-1800. Richmond Co., VA" compiled and published by George Harrison Sanford King; Fellow, American Society of Genealogists, Fredericksburg, Va, 1966.
As of this writing, there has been no location of the burial site or other history of the this Brannon Patriarch.
Caron's location of death is listed as North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia.
This memorial is to pay honor and acknowledge his contribution to The Brannon Family Tree.
