CARSON LEE JONES, Sr is the son of Allen Iverson Jones and Jennie E. (Parrish) Jones. Carson was born on November 13, 1892 in Bulloch County, Georgia. On April 23, 1920, Carson Jones married Myrtle Anderson. Carson and Myrtle Jones were the parents of three children, James Allen Jones, born May 20, 1921, Virginia Jane Jones, born February 18, 1925 and Carson Lee Jones, Jr., born February 2, 1930. Carson Lee Jones, Sr died on December 4, 1959 in Savannah, Georgia and buried at Eastside Cemetery, Statesboro, Bulloch County, GA

Newspaper Obituary: "Allen iverson Jones, age 69, prominent Bulloch countian, died yesterday afternoon in his home six miles east of Statesboro. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Primitive Baptist church with Elder W.H. Crouse in charge of the services. The deceased is survived by his widow, two sons, E. S. Jones, of Savannah, and C. L. Jones, of Statesboro, and the following grandchildren, James Allen Jones, Virginia Jones. Carson Jones Jr. and Flaire (Klaire) Jones. |
